Kod Polisi: 2h1 Sabah

Isu dan Polisi Semasa:

The syllabus at the primary and secondary school levels should have local content so that the children of Sabahan and Sarawak can understand their culture. Apart from the education curriculum, it offers the mother tongue of the Sabah and Sarawak natives such as Kadazandusun and Iban language to be taught in schools where there are 15 students or more. However, this policy can be further improved by adding the content of local cultural elements in the syllabus at the national level, and even a more flexible education curriculum at the national level so that schools have autonomy in determining the appropriate syllabus for the local community.

Nilai-nilai & Kepercayaan

Fostering cultural knowledge and understanding should be encouraged and included in the national education syllabus / curriculum.

Penyelesaian:

The subject of mother tongue as well as the education curriculum on indigenous customs should be offered in all public universities in Malaysia and also in the syllabus at the primary and secondary school levels.
