Isu dan Polisi Semasa:

"Abolishment of AUKU 1971 The current Student Representative Council or Student Union are not functioning as how it should be when hedged in by the University and University College Act (AUKU) 1971. On the surface, even students seem to be freed from the official dealings so they can focus on their studies, but as a matter of fact, what they learn in the lecture rooms are no longer needed by today’s society neither in the future."

Only by giving freedom to students to manage welfare matters to ensure the well-being of students themselves is maintained and even empowered, students will then be trained and honed to serve with trust, legitimate, efficient and transparent to our country one day. This is also in line with the 10 Shifts in the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education) including producing holistic, entrepreneurial and balanced graduates.

Penyelesaian:

"Abolish AUKU 1971 and no longer enact an act that restricts students in their own welfare matters in the university including student activities, freedom of speech and expression as well as peaceful assembly without weapons. At the same time, ensure that Part V Section 26 (1) of the Trade Union Act 1959 (Act 262) is also amended to protect the students’ rights to establish a Student Union in the university."
